Welcome to the Pride

 "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." — Luke 2:52 

August is always a happy time at our school and this year was no different. New backpacks, meeting new friends and saying hello to old friends. This is what it looks like when our Pride grows. 

Every year, our school follows one special Bible verse: Luke 2:52. It tells us that Jesus grew in four ways — in wisdom, in body, in his walk with God, and in his relationships with people. This year, we want every student at The Redeemer's School to grow in these same four ways. 

This year, we are also using four words to help us live out that verse. We call it ROAR: Respect. Ownership. Ambition. Resilience. You will hear these words a lot this year in chapel, in classrooms, and here on the blog. They help us turn Luke 2:52 into something we can practice every day. 

New to the Pride 

If your family is new to our school, we hope you are settling in and feeling at home. We know it is a big deal to join a new school. We do not take that trust lightly. Maybe your child started K4 with a big backpack and big eyes. Maybe your child started 5th grade and feels a little more grown up. Either way, YOU are all now part of something bigger than one classroom. YOU are part of a Pride. Our whole school will pray for you, cheer for you, and walk with your family this year. 

Sailing Into September 

Our prayer for this year is simple. We want every student at The Redeemer's School to grow the way Jesus grew — in mind, in body, in faith, and in friendship. We will share more about this every month, right here on the blog. 

We are also still building. Our #BuildingChastain project is part of this same story of growth. We cannot wait to share updates with you as the year goes on. For now, we are glad you’re here.
